Another New Beginning

Funny thing about Americans. We tend to be all about change. We move an average of 17 times in a lifetime. We own a series of cars. We wear different clothes every day. And yet not much is more scary than starting over again on a new venture.

That is what this blog is about. Starting over with yet another blog on another topic, this time about the quirks Americans demonstrate on a daily basis. Some of them are ironic, some are quixotic, but all are quintessentially part of us as a people.

Thinking about how to begin, it occurred to this writer that new beginnings are just a part of life: new jobs, new manuscripts started, new crochet projects started, new Christmas tree coming into the house to be decorated, new music to be learned...starting over is there every day. It's how we live. New houses, new kitchen, new bathroom, new clothes, everything is a constant renewal.

And so I begin again. I'm crossing my fingers I can make this work.
